Mining Tips
Now to start of your mining experience you will need a pickaxe, now its best to make a stone pickaxe when u can because it will improve your mining experience, once you have made your stone pickaxe you will need to look for iron ore it will look like this.
Now when you get a decent supply of iron its time to make a furnace. its just 8 cobblestone in the crafting bench all going around the center (if you are having trouble with this, take a look at the "Basic items" area on our tips and tricks) Now if u haven't got coal yet i would recommend getting it, it will help you with your smelting for your iron but if u haven't got coal and don't want to get it just use your old wood tool's or wood. Now your first thing that you're going to want to make with your iron is a pickaxe, this will improve your mining range E.G. your will be able to mine emerald, diamonds, gold and redstone. Once you get these materials especially diamonds, its worth saving them in a chest on the surface but make sure that you know where u put them or write down the coordinates (Again if you are having trouble with finding the coordinates just go to "getting started" in tip's and trick's) Now if You do end up with diamonds its best to make a diamonds pickaxe for even more efficient mining. Now into the fun and or boring stuff once you have made an entrance to a mine go down to Y:12 and just go in a straight line until u find a cave or you get bored but strip mining is one of the best ways to get item's like diamonds iron coal and other materials. |
